  1. Conditions for Admission:

Qualifications

i) The students entering MCA must have a

    1. B.Sc./B.Com degree with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science as one of the subjects at the degree level with not less than 55% marks (excluding languages) in the qualifying examination
    1. OR
    1. B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc.(Computer Science/Electronics) degree with not less than 55% marks (excluding languages) in the qualifying examination.

ii) Subject to the regulation relating to prescribed minimum of the respective qualifying examination, the minimum marks of admission to the course of studies shall be a pass in the case of SC/ST candidates.

      1. Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) referred to GO(P)208/66/Edn dated. 2-5-96 and subsequent amendments to order issued by the Government shall be given a relaxation of 2% marks in the prescribed minimum for admission.
      2. A relaxation of 5% marks from the prescribed minimum shall be allowed in the case of physically handicapped persons.
      3. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in more than one chance in the subject (excluding languages) will have their percentage marks de-rated at the rate of 5% for every additional appearance for the purpose of ranking. However the candidates who have passed their qualifying examinations in more than three chances in the subjects (excluding languages) are not eligible to apply.

Candidates with such degrees awarded by the Mahatma Gandhi University or any other degree recognized, as equivalent to i(a) or i(b)degrees by the mahatma Gandhi University alone are eligible to apply.

Mode of Selection

Selection to the course will be based on an entrance examination conducted by the STAS.

Duration of the Course:

The course shall extend over a period of three academic years consisting of six semesters.
